(Training) External Community Fundamentals Spring 2018
April 2, 2018 - April 11, 2018
We offer our online community management training course – Community Management Fundamentals as a guided, cohort experience free for members of the Network twice a year – and the next class is enrolling now.
As the course name – Community Fundamentals – hints, this course is meant to level set and create a common language across all community practitioners, as well as help newer community practitioners, ramp up. That said, we’ve had a number of experienced community managers complete the course and say they learned or were reminded of important community best practices.
RSVP today! We hope to see you in the training group this spring.
Training begins on Monday, April 2, 2018, and lasts six weeks. Training should take you less than one hour a week.
How do members participate?
Participating members will join a group of fellow members in TheCR Network. All training participants will be given access to the training materials hosted on our LMS (Learning Management System). We will send out weekly prompts to help you move through the modules on your time and participate in the training discussion group to share insights and questions with the group.
Modules include a 10-minute video, worksheet, and a 3 question quiz.
What module topics are included?
- Definition of Community & Community Management
- Community Strategy
- Profiling Community Member Segments
- Building Moderation, Escalation, & Crisis Guidelines
- Content & Program Strategy

What do I do next?
