CXL

Website CXL

About CXL:

CXL is an elearning company focused on digital marketing. It’s 90% recurring revenue, so similar to a SaaS business.

We’re a small but ambitious business, with big impact. We punch above our weight.

Since our inception in 2011 we’ve made a name for ourselves as the top resource for conversion optimization expertise. We’ve built a reputation as THE destination for data-driven marketing training.

We run 2 world class conferences each year – CXL Live and Elite Camp (or used to before covid).

We’re self-funded, profitable, and have been growing every single year around 40-45%. We’re proud of that, but we want to grow faster.

We deliver known quality, and have a strong brand – among those who know us. There are a lot of fans out there.

We’re hiring a community manager for our expert digital marketing community.**Note: This is not a social media manager position

Seniority: Mid to Senior Level
Salary range: 60-90k USD per annum depending on experience

This community is for experienced practitioners who want to be in that Top 1%. It is an active, growing audience, and we are introducing a new community learning component, Playbooks.

The KPIs for this role are to increase weekly active users and increase the quantity of user-generated content. We want to facilitate high-quality conversations, provide timely responses and ensure a high-quality experience.
Requirements:
You need to be good at building a new community, not just managing an existing one. You have to proactively drive activity, reach out to people to engage them to participate, nurture a few top members, collaborate with them to update and refine the project as you go along
You are an experienced online community manager – and can identify and select solutions through the application of expertise and are guided by precedents. You must have working knowledge of community programs and systems.
You excel in communication – Actively engage with members of the community broadly and individually, with an ability to manage conflict, fuel engagement, communicate nonviolently, and serve as a role model for communication
You are familiar with digital marketing – We have to filter noise and keep standards high. CXL is a premium learning platform.
You get things done – We are a remote company and believe in asynchronous work. You have to be reliable and pro-active.
Personality traits:
Proactive – never needing to be told what to do, always taking responsibility and showing initiative.
Social and approachable – you will be a present member of our online community and have to be comfortable with that
Confident and polite – you will be required to moderate discussions and online events so being firm but not aggressive has to be part of your toolset.
Tasks:
Own our community strategy – including the playbook community, social channels and how to mix private and public sections.
Managing and creating community engagement plans for our members and cohorts from our e-learning platform and talent pool.
Create strategies for partnerships and relationships with industry experts and involve them in our discussions and events.
Plan, host and manage online and live events
Manage our community content strategy and its execution including working with external vendors and moderators
Analyze and react to data from our Community platform and social channels
WHAT WE OFFER

Advantages of working for us:

Learn from people who know their stuff. We have serious A-players on the team.

Your role and responsibilities in our company can grow with you. Daniel Pink wrote this in his seminal book “Drive”: People are most motivated by having autonomy, mastery, and purpose. We make sure you get a ton of all three.

CXL is a very professional team: you’ll be working with a high-performing crew that will help you elevate your game. We’ll also make sure you love coming in or online every day – fun is a serious business at CXL.
