While this is our ninth year of research for the State of Community Management (SOCM), it is a lot of community practitioners’ first research rodeo. As we do every year, we have taken a look at some of the data that we’ve garnered from the first 100 or so survey participants and gotten a glimpse into who is taking our survey so far.
Age is just a number? Or is it?
You might be interested to know that over 50% of respondents launched their communities over the past three years. That means that more than half of the community practitioners that completed the survey are working with a young community.
That matches well with the fact that about 48% of those who have responded thus far have only been working in community management for between 0 and 3 years.
Calling all community newbies. Oh, wait, and community pros!
Are you also a community management newbie or is your community just starting out? Maybe you’re a community management veteran or you have a well-established community. If you fall into either category or somewhere in between, we’d love to hear from you!
Now it’s your turn!
Please take 15 minutes out of your day and fill out the SOCM 2018 survey. Your participation will help influence and inform important community research. Plus, you’ll get a free gift card out of it. Win/win, right?
