At The Community Roundtable, we take the idea of community to heart. We believe that the future of all management is community management, and while we may play different roles in our organizations, we are all community managers.
We also feel strongly that we need to model the behaviors and culture we hope to see adopted by our members and clients. In doing so, we have created a culture of trust, respect, and transparency that results in high performance without stress and anxiety.
The Community Roundtable operates with six core values:
We believe flexibility creates balance. We encourage our team to build a schedule that serves their needs while enabling them to be successful in their career. We encourage our team to explore outside their current role and bring new ideas to what they do every day.
We trust and expect our team members to be self-directed; understanding their responsibilities and finding the resources needed to complete their work effectively. We work out loud, helping others understand how our work is being done, to share work in order to solicit feedback and provide feedback to others in a supportive way.
We support one another by sharing, mentoring, empathizing and assuming good intent. We share our knowledge and guidance while expecting individuals to incorporate feedback according to their needs. We are personally supportive of each other, caring and taking an interest in the personal lives and well-being of every team member.
We know there is more to know and we make time to explore. We encourage team members to read regularly, whether directly or indirectly related to the work they do. We make space in our day-to-day for curiosity, encouraging team members to learn new skills, participate in team AMAs, and actively prompt each other to pursue interests.
We believe supportive critics are invaluable because they challenge each of us to be our best selves. We encourage everyone on our team to constructively challenge each other and we play this role with our members and clients.
We are successful when our clients are successful. We care about our clients and we want them to succeed personally and as organizations. We're fiscally responsible and fully transparent to our team. We want them all to understand how and why we are successful.
