By Rachel Happe, The Community Roundtable.
2015 was a great year for TheCR and I am so proud of what our team accomplished. We are one of the few organizations that do extensive research in the community space and all of our services are research-backed and based on the needs of TheCR Network members. Together we have collaborated to produce models, research, training, benchmarking and advisory services that help community programs scale successfully. We are seeing our clients and members thrive, which makes us happiest of all.
Because of this growth, we are adding three new team members, positioning us to add new services and products in 2016 (stay tuned!) and to scale ourselves. It’s an exciting time for us and we see the market poised for growth, as noted recently by the Real Story Group, “while many pundits have lost interest, investment by organizations is actually growing”.
So… who are these new team members? Here is a quick introduction.
AMY
Amy Turner joins TheCR as the newest member of the sales and marketing team. Amy has spent the majority of her career on brand and agency side of the business – and we’re thrilled to have her fresh perspective on the work we do. With experience in always-changing landscape of marketing, from direct marketing in the late 90’s to the e-commerce boom in the ’00’s, and now social media today Amy is uniquely qualified to help us excel.
Amy also brings a passion for a grammar and a meticulous eye for copy-editing – always a needed talent. We’d be remiss to leave our her love of dogs – another trait that many members of our team share! Amy’s many TheCR hats will include sales outreach, database management, content curation/creation, logistics /event coordination and metrics tracking/measurement. Basically – she’ll keep us in line and make sure TheCR machine runs smoothly. Feel free to reach out and say hello!
NOAH
Noah Stolkner as our new community management fellow and recently completed his MA in Community Development & Planning at Clark University. We’re ready to help him apply his education to real world organizational challenges. We’re impressed with his communication skills and his interest in social and cultural shifts and how they affect individuals, organizations, and society.
Noah will be learning and honing his community management skills by working with TheCR Network and focusing on member engagement and management, content creation and curation, and community program management. Connect with Noah and say hello!
TRACY
Tracy Floyd joins our team as the VP of Business Development. With years of experience in selling research and consulting in the technology market he comes with the acumen to collaborate with us and our clients in ways that create win-win-win initiatives. Tracy is an ex-colleague of mine from IDC days and was most recently at Ipsos. In particular, we love Tracy’s relationship-first approach and his curiosity, which allows him to create solutions that really meet the needs of our clients. We have had impressive revenue growth without a full-time business development lead so I can’t wait to see what Tracy will help us do in 2016!
In his free time, you can find Tracy biking the back roads of southern Maine, spending time with his teenage daughters and playing with his two dogs.
Connect with Tracy on LinkedIn, on Twitter or drop him a note via email (tracy at communityroundtable.com) and say hello!
Please help me welcome our new team members. I can’t wait to see what they cook up in 2016. Let’s do this!
