The Community Roundtable’s Strategic Community Workshop: Community Strategy, ROI, and Business Case is designed for community program owners and business analysts who need to make the case for investment and support.

This course provides proven frameworks, models, and examples that can be used immediately to create the assets you need to tell your community story in a way that is compelling and relevant to executive stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

This is an advanced course for community program owners who want to walk away with tangible success markers for their programs. We'll explore:

  • How to frame community management strategically
  • Elements of a community business case
  • Frameworks to help define and communicate your community strategy and roadmap
  • How to calculate community ROI

Upon completion of this course, you will have working drafts of the core community assets that will help you gain executive support, educate stakeholders and secure budget for your program:

  • A business case for your community
  • A community roadmap for your community
  • An ROI model for your community

COURSE FORMAT

This course is delivered in six, one-hour sessions, accompanied by homework and a shared space to learn-out-loud with other course participants. Each session includes an expert-led lesson, interactive discussion, and homework.

SCHEDULE

The Winter 2019 Session begins on January 24th, 2019. Each class meets from 12pm-1pm ET on six consectuive Thursdays.

When can I take this course?

Can I miss a week?
Yes. All live sessions will be captured and archived for participants, and you can catch up on your own time. That being said you'll definitely get the most out of the course if you can attend the live discussions and take part in the group learning.

How much of a commitment are you talking about?
Each live session is one hour, and each homework assignment will take between 30-90 minutes to complete. You may also want to spend extra time interacting with our team and your fellow classmates online. It seems like a big commitment but remember: at the end of the six-week session you'll have a working draft of a business case, a strategic roadmap and an ROI model for your community.

Should my whole team enroll?
Honestly, probably not. This course is specifically geared toward community program owners and business analysts. We offer other options for new and advanced community professionals here.

Where else can I get this strategic information?
We do offer this type of training as an advisory deliverable as part of our Accelerator program for community teams, and community-minded organization. This course is a more cost-effective way to build out these strategic assets for small teams or agile organizations.
