While the casual media making at #SXSW seemed to be down a bit this year, there were still plenty of photos, podcasts, and videos being made. We had the opportunity to participate in a couple of projects and were flattered to be asked.
I was interviewed by Scott Laningham of IBM DeveloperWorks and he asked about The Community Roundtable and what I saw as the opportunities and challenges communities introduce to organizations. One of the challenges I talked about was the cultural change required for organizations to have a more community-centric approach and I equated it to the difference between traditional business conferences and SXSW – impossible to change from one to the other directly.
Jim & I were also asked to visit the Social Media Clubhouse for an interview with Jessica Murray to talk a bit about Jim’s panel on Lurkers and our upcoming report, due out this week, The 2011 State of Community Management.
