Leveraging Investment to Create Strategic Value
The SOCM 2017 provides a snapshot of the progress and changes in community management, based on research of more than 300 communities from organizations large and small, which span a range of use cases, sectors, and industries.
In this eighth year of research, we were able to produce more relevant data about the three elements of community management that drive success – community strategy, operations, and tactics, than ever before.
The three key findings from the SOCM 2017 are:
- Strategy: Quality of engagement matters more than quantity as communities mature.
- Operations: Lasting behavior change requires more than transactional investments.
- Tactics: Connecting content and programs to strategy accelerates community success.
The full report goes into more detail about these findings, as well as exploring the data in all eight competencies of the Community Maturity Model and much more.
