As the Influencer Relations Manager, you’ll spearhead BetterUp’s work to use influencer voices to tell our story and create a deeper understanding of human transformation. We’re working to redefine the future of work so that a connection to purpose and meaning allows individuals and organizations to perform at the highest levels. You’ll play a key role in developing programs, experiences, and content that helps inspire, engage, and prompt people to change the future of work.You’ll help to craft BetterUp’s content programming and community plays by engaging leading academics, luminaries, thought leaders, experts, and CHROs. You’ll engage influencers in partnerships, experiences, and campaigns that showcase our science-backed approach and the life-changing impact of coaching.

What You’ll Do

  • Become the expert on all influencer agreements to determine the best way to leverage our relationships to build BetterUp’s brand and drive interest from prospects and customers.
  • Be the point of contact and relationship manager with influencers and present opportunities for engagement that drive business impact.
  • Coordinate across the Brand Team, Growth Team, Product Marketing, Sales Team, and Executive Engagement functions to align on top priorities for influencer engagement.
  • Ideate concepts for content and creative executions that bring BetterUp’s story to life via influencer voices – this could be in the form of social content, thought leadership, demand generation, events, presentations, employee enablement, etc.
  • Write and edit messaging and content for various channels and provide direction on creative.
  • Define the marketing strategy for announcements and coordinate activities to announce new influencers to the program.
  • Collaborate with XFN partners, and present plans for influencer engagement milestones throughout the year.
  • Create processes that provide transparency and guardrails for how to engage influencers in BetterUp programs and activities, including coordinating meetings and introductions via the program.
  • Set goals, analyze performance, and report on results that impact and influence core business metrics.
  • Work with the legal team to ensure best practices for influencer partnership agreements and activities are adhered to.
  • Source and manage freelancers and/or to support influencer activities.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to team members so they can do their best work.

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 7+ years of experience creating content, including writing research-based content and executive bylines.
  • Experience partnering with thought leaders and luminaries and translating their ideas into marketing campaigns.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, especially in translating complex topics into relatable content and graphics.
  • Track record of developing, implementing, and improving on processes to scale a team’s impact.
  • Experience designing or supporting experiences that bring thought leaders work to life via in-person or virtual events.
  • Experience reporting on content results, measuring impact, and analyzing results is a must.
  • Knowledge of content channels and optimizing campaigns.
  • Experience using Salesforce and analyzing reports a plus
  • Experience in setting goals and analyzing results via Google Analytics, HubSpot, Looker, Domo, or other similar tools.
  • Proactive problem solver with strong sense of ownership and bias toward action who values collaboration, clear communication, and holds themselves and colleagues to high creative standards.
  • Places value on both the day-to-day work of execution and makes time for brainstorming big ideas that will lead to outsized results.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this role is $104,000 – $176,600.

If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is:

$117,700 – $176,600: New York City

$110,800 – $166,200: Nassau, Newburgh

$104,000 – $156,000: Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse
