VoodooDuck is a video game development studio located in Duisburg, Germany. Our experienced founding team is currently working on a small cozy farming game on a boat called “Collector’s Cove”.
We are currently looking for a skilled Marketing and Social Media Manager (m/f/d) starting in January.
“Collector’s Cove” is a cozy farming simulation game set in a world dominated by seemingly endless seas, with only scattered small islands to explore.
Cultivate rare crops, reel in elusive fish, and nurture your maritime sanctuary as you uncover the secrets of unique islands. Enjoy the cozy solitude of your travelling home, where the soothing sounds of the ocean accompany your every endeavor.
But your adventure doesn’t end there. Dive deep into the depths of exploration as you strive to complete your collectors’ compendium, gathering rare crops, fish and treasures to rise through the ranks and earn the esteemed title of a Named-Collector.
Craft useful items to aid you in your journey and transform your boat into a personalized refuge reflective of your unique style and personality.
VoodooDuck is looking for a passionate Marketing and Social Media Manager (m/f/d) who wants to help build a vibrant community around Collector’s Cove, engage with players across various platforms, and drive the game’s growth through creative marketing strategies and strong social media interaction. If you are enthusiastic about cozy games, skilled at fostering player engagement, and ready to work in a collaborative environment, we’d love to have you on board!
Responsibilities
- Engagement: Actively participate on our Discord, social media platforms, and other community channels to engage with players and build a positive community around our games.
- Content Creation: Create engaging content in text, image and video form for use as Discord posts, social media updates, Steam News posts and press kits to keep the community informed and excited about our games.
- Influencer Marketing:Identify and engage with relevant influencers, streamers, and content creators across different platforms to promote our games and expand our community reach. Build and maintain strong relationships with these influencers by providing early access to games, exclusive content, or promotional opportunities.
- Moderation: Monitor and moderate community discussions to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all players.
- Feedback Collection: Gather valuable player feedback and communicate it to the development team to enhance the gaming experience.
- Events: Assist in planning and executing both digital and in-person events.
- Reporting: Track and analyze community metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improving community engagement.
- Store Pages: Manage the various store pages for our games and create assets for them in consultation with our departments and partners.
- Marketing Coordination: Work with different marketing partners to coordinate on planned marketing activities.
Your Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Marketing and/or Social Media Management of Video Games
- Proficiency with Photoshop and video editing software.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, online communities, and influencer marketing.
- Advanced understanding of gaming industry trends and player preferences.
- Experience with community-building strategies and player engagement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Self-reliant and well-organized, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
- Fluent in German and English
Bonuses
- Residing in or willing to relocate to North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
- Previous experience with steam events and the steam backend
- Experience organizing large scale events like Gamescom
